Michael V. Roberts is a respected leader in business, community and politics. Through Roberts-Roberts & Associates, a consulting firm he founded in the early 1970s with his brother Steve, he worked to help companies find ways to increase minority business participation in government contracts. After helping President Jimmy Carter’s presidential bid as his St. Louis campaign manager, Michael was elected as St. Louis City Council along with his brother, and the two worked to revitalize the city’s downtown area. Later, the two formed Roberts Brothers Properties, and purchased and renovated a former Sears building in their childhood neighbourhood. Over a long career, Michael V. Roberts has been honored with the Spirit of St. Louis Award from the St. Louis Mayoral office in 2003, the Gateway Classic Sports Foundation in 2004, and has appeared on the Black Enterprise Top 100 Industrial/Service companies list in 200, 2003 and 2005.
